Obituary: Ruth B. Vinson (September 1, 1926 - August 3, 2006)

Mrs. Ruth B. (Bennett) Vinson, age 79, of 4 Clarryann Street Tamaqua, Pa., died Thursday, August 3, 2006, in her home.

A 1943 Graduate of George Washington High School, and Graduate of Goldie Beacom Business School , Wilmington, DE.

Ruth was a home maker and secretary to Attorney Frank Allen of Tamaqua, Pa. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Tamaqua, she was Church Secretary, President of the Methodist Women, a member of the church Catering Society, Choir, Sunday School Teacher, District Representative to Cornwall Manor, and Delegate to the United Methodist Conference's, Past President of District United Methodist Women.

Born in Chance, Md. she was the daughter of the late William Bennett and the late Evelyn (Simpson) Bennett.

She is also survived by her Husband Donald Ralph Vinson,

Daughter-Rev. Carol V. Lawfer wife of Woody, Stoney Run, Pa.

Two Sons, Mr. David R Vinson & his wife Janet of Center Valley, Pa. Mr. Richard W. Vinson & his wife Karen of Honeoye, N.Y.

Ten grandchildren

Preceded in death by her son William L., and Brothers John S. and Edward Bennett.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., Tamaqua, Pa.. Interment will be at Sky-View Memorial Park in Tamaqua, Pa.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday August 10, 2006 at 3:00 PM from the First United Methodist church 124 West Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa. 18252
